• Fed lowered interest rates by 0.25%, now targeting 4.00–4.25%

• Matches market expectations (90%+ predicted it on CME + Polymarket)

Fed plans 2 more rate cuts this year (likely in Oct 30 and Dec 11 meetings). Jerome Powell’s key points:

2. SEC Approves Fast-Track Crypto ETF Process

In parallel, the SEC has greenlit a new, streamlined ETF approval process for crypto assets.

• Now only 75-day review periods (down from 240 days)

• Assets only need to have futures trading for 6+ months on a regulated exchange

This change came after major U.S. exchanges, Nasdaq, NYSE Arca, and Cboe BZX, pushed for unified listing standards.

So what coins qualify first? Bitcoin and Ethereum already have ETFs. Solana and XRP now have futures on CME → ETF-ready in 2025. Coinbase’s futures platform might help bring in others.

I think that ETF race for altcoins will move quicker than most are pricing in. Fed is managing risk, so expect volatility along the way.

Retail investors may not feel it yet, but institutions are already preparing entries. Don’t forget to recheck altcoin portfolios (especially ETF contenders)
