🤔 HOW MUCH WILL $MASK – METAMASK AIRDROP BE WORTH?

Consensys CEO Joe Lubin says the MetaMask token is coming and may arrive 'sooner than you would expect'.

1/ Valuing $MASK. What’s MetaMask Worth?

MetaMask has around 30M monthly active users, and earns $49M/year in swap fees (0.875%/trade). We can estimate its valuation (FDV) using 2 methods:

First, compare to competitors:

• Trust Wallet: 17M users, FDV $1.13B → FDV/user ≈ $66

• Safe Wallet: 5.5M users, FDV $441M → FDV/user ≈ $80
  → Average FDV/user: $73

Apply that to MetaMask’s 20M–30M users:

• 20M users × $73 = $1.46B

• 30M users × $73 = $2.19B

Second, use P/E ratio. With $49M annual revenue and a typical P/E ratio of 30 (Nasdaq average) → 49M × 30 = $1.47B FDV

→ Final estimate: MetaMask FDV could range from $1.4B to $2.2B. Yeah, it’s just an estimate. Actual token price will depend on market dynamics.

2/ So... How Big Could the MetaMask Airdrop Be?

Most major airdrops allocate 10–13% of total supply to active users (e.g. $LINEA.X ( ▼ 4.68% ) airdropped 13%).

If 1 million wallets qualify → $140 to $260 per wallet on average. But… if you paid over $500 in swap fees, chances are your share would be higher than the average.

CEO of ConsenSys hinted that $LINEA holders may be eligible for future airdrops across the ConsenSys ecosystem.

Still, no guarantees, especially after Linea’s say one thing, do another history. DYOR.

3/ Why $MASK Matters for the ConsenSys Ecosystem

MetaMask is the gateway for millions entering Web3. ConsenSys is clearly building an in-house ecosystem around it:

• Linea → L2 infrastructure

• MetaMask mUSD → native stablecoin to retain value on-chain (instead of leaking to USDC/USDT)

• $MASK token could:

  • Be used for governance + utility

  • Be staked to earn yield from the mUSD backing reserves

  • Possibly offer fee discounts or premium features

If staking + yield becomes real → $MASK could be worth even more.

Think about it: Coinbase has Base, USDC, Farcaster, and Base App. Avara (ex-Aave) has Aave, GHO, Lens, Family

🛡️ RONIN IS BUYING BACK $RON

On Sept 21, Ronin officially announced a strategic $RON.X ( ▼ 1.85% )  token buyback plan:

• Ronin Treasury will convert all $ETH.X ( ▼ 7.05% ) and $USDC.X ( ▼ 0.0% ) holdings into RON

• These assets are currently worth about $4.6M, but only 12% is held in RON or WRON today.

• The entire buyback process will be on-chain

• No tokens will be sold, only purchased

• Treasury aims to accumulate up to 1.3% of RON’s total supply.

• Final schedule is pending approval from Ronin validators.

Over the last 4 years, Ronin has quietly built up a diverse treasury. Revenue sources include all trades on Katana DEX + volume from Ronin Market, plus OpenSea revenue share & gas fee.

Seems like token buybacks are heating up across DeFi. Hyperliquid is buying back $24M HYPE weekly as well.

I think this is a strategic chess move by Ronin. They’re betting on themselves.

• By swapping ETH and USDC to RON, they’re signaling RON is core to the network’s future.
